eleonicecoelho said: Hi there, Chrissy! I've just found your tumblr and fell for your designs. They're amazing! Do you use polishes for your designs, acrilic painting or other stuff?

Hello! Aren’t you so sweet to write me! I’m so glad you did and THANK YOU for the compliment! (I love hearing from my followers!)

To answer your question, I use both nail polishes and acrylic paints. Some designs are solely nail polish like my shark nails.

Some designs are actually a combination of both polish and acrylic paints like my turquoise stone nails.

But mostly my mani’s are acrylic paints painted on nail polish bases then topped with a good top coat. (I use Seche Vite.)

Thank you again for writing and if you have any other questions at all feel free to write again.

I appreciate it so much!

The Exorcist.

The Exorcist.

Ok, I KNOW she doesn’t look EXACTLY like Linda Blair did in the movie, But I have a really good excuse. So forgive me. Here’s the reason.

The movie The Exorcist scares me like no other movie ever did. Everything about it still, to this day, scares the living daylights out of me. In fact, I haven’t been able to watch it IN YEARS!

(I know, I’m such a coward! )

So, I had to REALLY push myself with this one. It literally bothered me to look at her face to paint this.

So that’s my excuse. I hope you’ll still like them.

This is for THE MONSTROUSLY MINI HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE

These are my silhouette witches. I’ve been saving this idea for quite awhile and I’m very happy with the way they turned out. I love Halloween, and my favorites are witches. I put their familiar in the middle of all of the girls. The thumb is of course the most famous of them all, The Wicked Witch of the West. She is based on Olly Moss’ work, and I show her here next to his silhouette.  I am planning on doing a few Silhouette themed nails. So these are the first. I hope you’ll love them as much as I do…

I tried to recreate Lady Fancy Nails beautiful mani she did for Cirque Colors new Burlesque Collection. I loved her design so much. She used ‘Harlow’ from the burlesque Collection. I used a franken I made using Color Club ‘Kismet’ and Color Club ‘Over The Moon’ To give it an underlying turquoise shimmer.
